I'M RACHEL

 

 

I'm so glad you're here and to be able to support you. I'm Rae, the Anxiety Coach. My mission is to help you create safety in your nervous system, learn the tools to self-regulate, and empower you to reach your goals and desires. 

When I'm not teaching or coaching, I love to travel, spend time at the beach, and hang out with my friends and family. Denmark is next up on my bucket list!

MY STORY

 

When I was 13 years old, I went on a school field trip and attended my first yoga class. It was the first time I experienced meditation, and it piqued my curiosity. My older brother Jason was my mentor for meditation, mindfulness, and self-awareness at the time. (He would later go on to learn transcendental meditation!). He would tell me stories, share his insights, and mentor me when I felt anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed.

Through adolescence and into young adulthood, I continued to struggle with anxiety and perfectionism. I would eventually experience a significant loss in my family when my father passed away. Understandably so; my anxiety was at an all-time high. My coping tools included therapy, meditation, yoga, hiking, and leaning on the support of my family and friends.

I knew that there must be something I was missing and began to explore if there was such a thing as an "Anxiety Coach," and lucky me, there was! I found a somatic coach specializing in anxiety, discovered my inner child, and immediately felt a profound shift. I understood my anxiety in a new way and knew I needed to bring this work to more people. Within six months, I was enrolled in a ten-month coaching certification program for somatic therapy.

Originally my background was in psychology and social work (MSW), and professionally, I wasn't sure what I would do for the longest time. That's a much longer story, haha. One thing I did know, though, was that I always wanted to help people.

Which leads me to today! I LOVE to support my clients on their journeys to self-discovery and transformation. I know that it is so empowering to understand your body and create a deep mind-body connection. Breathwork, somatic embodiment, and inner child healing have drastically changed my life, and I know they can support you too! Heal your body, heal your mind.

THE FOUNDATION

 

Over the past 10+ years I've had the opportunity to build my knowledge and skills as a Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator and Anxiety Coach. I currently specialize in using a body-based approach to healing.

My methodology includes somatic practices, breathwork, inner child healing, meditation, mindfulness, somatic attachment, body-mind centering, integrative somatic trauma therapy, internal family systems (IFS), somatic parts work, and somatic experiencing.

The experiences below are foundational for creating the safest and most transformational space for my clients.

Breathwork Facilitator Certification: 100+ hours guiding men and women individually and in group experiences with trauma informed somatic breathwork

Somatic Embodiment Coach & Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certification: 100+ hours supporting women individually to heal their nervous system's response to trauma

Trauma Informed Certification: Learned the skills needed to practice with awareness and integrity for both little "t" and big "T" trauma

Master's of Social Work (MSW): 5+ years of experience in social work as an adolescent mental health social worker, immigration advisor, and specialist with autistic college students
